Somewhere among the trees and wildflowers, a little neighbour wanders quietly through the woods. Created in the timeless blue of cyanotype and surrounded by real pressed flowers, this artwork captures the simple charm of a raccoon exploring its woodland home. A little reminder that beauty and wonder can be found in the wild things living quietly alongside us.
Starting with real botanicals that I have harvested, dried, and pressed throughout the seasons; the original cyanotype is hand-made using sunlight, photographic chemicals, and developed in a water bath.

Each cyanotype print is unique, as variations in weather conditions or the distribution of the photosensitive solution can affect the shades of blue and imperfections, adding to the charm of this artisanal printing technique.
