In this pressed flower piece, I portray the moment when the Little Prince carefully prepares to leave his tiny planet. True to his thoughtful nature, he plans his departure with care — raking out his active volcanoes, cooking his breakfast on one, and pulling out the last baobab sprout. Then, with quiet tenderness, he places the glass dome over his rose, protecting her before saying goodbye.
This piece is a reflection of his gentle discipline and love — a reminder that even when we are about to embark on a new journey, taking time to prepare and care for what we leave behind makes every farewell more meaningful.
This artwork features pressed flowers. Each piece is crafted by hand using real flowers, carefully collected and pressed throughout the seasons. The process of drying the flowers requires time and patience. Once dried, the flowers are meticulously arranged, adhered, cleaned, and sealed within frames.

MY FAVORITE QUOTES FROM THE BOOKS:
“It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important."
"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye."
"All grown-ups were once children... but only few of them remember it"
“You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed.”
- Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
PLEASE KEEP ORIGINAL PRESSED FLOWER ARTWORK OUT OF DIRECT SUNLIGHT AND HUMIDITY, OTHERWISE THEY WILL FADE MUCH FASTER.
- Please note that flowers naturally change color as they dry and age. The pigments responsible for their vibrant hues break down during the preservation process, often resulting in subtle shifts in tone.
- This is a normal—and beautiful—part of working with real botanicals. It does not indicate damage or poor preservation.
- At The Blu Art, we choose not to artificially enhance or recolor the flowers. We believe in honoring their natural form, embracing their gentle fading as part of the charm and authenticity of nature-based art.
